Olubukola Okoro, MD, is an internal, obesity and lifestyle medicine specialist at RescueMD serving patients in and around Allen Texas.Dr. Okoro takes a patient-centered approach to medicine and really looks forward to meeting and forming a special bond with all her patients.
Dr. Okoro attended Metropolitan State University and received a bachelor’s in biology. She became a licensed practical nurse (LPN) and went on to receive her registered nurse license.
Following college, Dr. Okoro worked a few years as a registered nurse before attending Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her clinical rotations in the United States and attended a three-year residency program in internal medicine at St. John’s Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Okoro is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and received her Texas Medical License in 2015. She is also board certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.
During a brief visit to the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, area, Dr. Okoro fell in love with Allen, Texas, and knew it was the perfect place for her to start a family. She worked as an internal medicine physician at Texas Health Presbyterian in Dallas, Texas, and Texas Presbyterian Hospital in Allen, Texas. Following that, Dr. Okoro decided to open her own practice
Dr. Okoro has deep roots in Allen, Texas, and absolutely loves the community. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Tochi, and two sons, Caleb and Joshua.
Aminah Naveed, MD, is an internal medicine specialist. She serves patients at RescueMD at both the Allen and McKinney, Texas offices. Dr. Naveed is board-certified in internal medicine and acquired her Texas Medical License in 2021.
Dr. Naveed was born in Pakistan. She was always drawn to medicine and knew she wanted to become a physician from a very young age. She has a passion for serving humanity, which was instilled in her during her childhood.
Dr. Naveed received her medical degree from Ayub Medical College, one of the most prestigious institutes in Pakistan. She then completed her clinical rotations in the United States and her three-year residency program at Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. Interactions with her patients during this meticulous training gave her an exceptional experience and comprehensive knowledge of the latest advances and research in the field of medicine.
Dr. Naveed is a strong practitioner of evidence-based medicine. She is well acquainted with counseling patients regarding preventive care and positive lifestyle changes. Her communication and bonding skills with patients set her apart from other providers. Texas was love at first sight for Dr. Naveed. She lived in Texas since 2010 and settled in McKinney in 2015. Dr. Naveed has strong ties with the community and plans to serve here for years to come. She enjoys movies, traveling, swimming, horse riding, and biking. While away from work, Dr. Naveed spends time with her husband, Naveed, and three beautiful children, Moosa, Ibrahim, and Zahra.

Joyce Garrison, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant dedicated to providing
high-quality primary care services with an emphasis on preventive medicine. Joyce sees
patients at RescueMD in McKinney and Allen, Texas.
Growing up in a tight-knit community, Joyce witnessed the power of compassion and
support. These values motivated her to pursue a career in healthcare, with the goal of
making a difference in people's lives. Her commitment to helping others led her to an
incredible experience as an HIV outreach volunteer with the United States Peace Corps in
South Africa. Living and working in a completely different cultural context, she gained
invaluable insights into healthcare disparities and the importance of accessible medical
care. This experience deepened her dedication to the field and inspired her to strive for
equitable healthcare solutions.
Joyce earned a master's in physician assistant studies at The University of Texas Medical
Branch in Galveston, Texas. This rigorous program honed her skills and abilities to practice
as a physician assistant. It instilled a commitment to lifelong learning by staying up to date
with the most current evidence-based medicine.
In her free time, Joyce enjoys camping, hiking, and kayaking with friends and family. She
also enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures worldwide.
Joyce is a compassionate and skilled healthcare professional, ready to make a meaningful
impact in the lives of the community she serves. She is excited to be part of the team of
healthcare providers at RescueMD.

Melissa Coltman, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner who enjoys caring for patients in Allen and McKinney, Texas, and the surrounding communities. At RescueMD, Melissa is proud to partner with patients to help them achieve their health care goals.
Melissa moved to Texas during her high school years. She earned a BSN from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. Shortly after graduation, she married her college sweetheart. They moved to Dallas, where she began her nursing career at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, caring for patients in the medical ICU.
As a teenager, she met a nurse practitioner who greatly influenced her trajectory. After eight years of working as a bedside nurse in the ICU, PACU, and ER, she graduated from Texas Woman's University with her MSN.
Melissa has spent the last six years working as a nurse practitioner in the field of cardiology. She is known for listening to her patients with attention and compassion. She aims to empower them to achieve their personal health care goals. Cardiology is a passion of hers so naturally the Rehab was a good fit for her.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and sons. She enjoys being outdoors, reading, cooking, and finding out what she can grow in her garden.
Brooke Taylor, MCN, RDN, LD is a licensed registered dietitian with a passion for equipping patients with the knowledge and skills to take control of their health
Since a very young age, Brooke has had a desire to help people find tangible ways to take control of their health without forfeiting things that they love in life, their culture, or their life savings. This desire coupled with a deep love for food and health led her into the field of nutrition and dietetics.
After completing bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Biology from the University of North Texas. She went on to complete a Master of Clinical Nutrition from UT Southwestern Medical Center. During her coordinated master’s program, she became equipped both scholastically and practically to provide evidenced-based nutrition counseling by participating in numerous intern opportunities while digging deep into the science of nutrition in the setting of varying disease states & points within the lifecycle
In her free time, Brooke loves to cook, hike, travel, spend time with loved ones, and serve the community with her sisters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Immersing herself in varying cultures, age groups, and schools of thought is one of her favorite things to do. She believes the more that we learn about one another the less different we become.

Mackenzie Robinson, MS, CPT is an exercise physiologist and certified personal trainer who is dedicated to the study of exercise and its impact on cardiovascular health.
From an early age, Mackenzie has aspired to pair her passion for exercise with a professional career, whether it be assisting athletes in enhancing their performance or helping individuals improve their overall quality of life. She takes pride in educating her patients and guiding them towards reaching their fitness goals, all while cultivating meaningful relationships with them.
With a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in exercise physiology from the University of North Texas, Mackenzie has acquired a comprehensive understanding of how exercise influences the body’s physiology across various demographics. Her expertise extends to corrective exercise and sports performance, as well as a particular interest in cardiovascular health.
Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She firmly believes in the value of continuous learning and strives to impart her knowledge to others daily.
